Could you give me some advice
Submitted by Matt Daniels on Mon, 02/04/2013 - 10:08
Hi,
I am a PMP for 6+ years now and currently looking for a change in role. The new role requires Scrum Master certification. However, my research shows me that Scrum essentials is a part of agile. Keeping this in mind, would it make more sense to to Agile Training instead of scrum?
Thanking you in anticipation.

Scrum is one of the flavours
Scrum is one of the flavours of Agile programming. So you are better of doing scrum certification , which is more focussed for your job, rather than doing generic agile certification.

Thanks for the response, but i had another question and would really appreciate if you could answer this as well. Agile essentially covers all topics related to Scrum Master Certification. So how come agile isnt more sought after?

Scrum Master
If your role is that of a Scrum Master, go for a Scrum Master certification. Scrum Master course is focused on giving indepth knowledge on Scrum. Scrum is a subset of Agile. Go as per you requirement. Visit the following link to have an idea about what varios Scrum Master certification providers offer:
