Q:- A new PM has just taken over the project from the previous PM during the execution of the project. Previous PM has created a project budget, determined communication requirements, and went on to complete work packages. What should the new PM do next?
A. Coordinate completion of Work Packages
B. Identify quality standards
C. Begin Id Risks process
D. Execute the PMP
Can any one help me in answering this? Need expert judgment:-)

A
I would go with A., since firstly he is already in execution phase and B, C (id Risk and Quality) are already done in planning by previous PM. and D - Execute the PMP doesn't sounds clear since pmp is project management professional.

NEW PM is taking charge
NEW PM is taking charge during execution, and only coordination is not a work of PM. And completion of Wpkgs ispart of WBS as content itself saying.
PM will execute the work as per PMP or you can say PM will execute the PMP. Hence option is D.

Answer per me is:-
Hi Prashant.spce,
We need to look the Question from the veritable quarters. Think like this, did the previous PM complete everything related to 'Planning'? Was identifying Risks done, was establishing Quality requirements done? No, they were not as per the Question!
What do we do next, between identifying Risks and establishing Quality policy. Quality is done before Risks. Hence, option 'B' looks to me the truest! What does your answer say, from wherever you've picked this Question from?
Still, since stalwarts like Shree Pawarji aka RPS is saying 'D', so I DO NOT have the tenacity to take on the might of legends.
So, either you need to go with RPS or the question provider. I get the feeling the book would commensurate with Shree Pawarji. RPS is a stuff legends are made of and he can seldom go wrong. Such is the might and Skill of RPS! God bless him.
Will watch-out for this space to know the true answer!
Best, KK....
