PMP Scoring
Dear admin/all,
Please help me with my below questions:
1. Can you please tell me how scoring is done? is it 1 point for every right answer? Or based on difficulty level. I know pmi says the exam is based on psychometric evaluation but i quite couldnt get that. Please advise. If i aim to score 108/200 or 108/175 will that be considered as pass.
2. Also i tried Pmzilla tough 200 questions now and i got only 56% (111/200)). i am right now going through the mistakes and trying to fill my gaps. should i retry the pmzilla exam after filling gaps . If s what should my score be on trying pmzilla exam second time?
3. What owuld you advise me to read one week before my exam? or what would you suggest my preparation to be
Please advise. Thank you

1. For all practical purpose
1. For all practical purpose its 1 point for every right answer. 25 questions out of 200 are not used for scoring... so its possible that some of the weird questions you see in exam are actually amongst those 25
2. Yes. Please go through the question set again and now you should be scoring above 70% since you will remember right answers for most of the questions, then take the remaining 75 questions and you should be scoring above 60%
3. Depends on person to person. If you feel that there are gaps in your understanding then you can choose to do further reading. Giving more mock tests ( reputed ones ) even though free will help you. Incorrect answers will trigger you to think .
Finally please understand that you need confidence more than anything , if you have failed the exam. PMP is just a certification, the complexity of the exam is "medium" in nature. Most people find it tough because of lack of PM experience. you can see on PMZilla there are many folks who have cleared exam in 2 weeks of preparation or less. The main reason is because they have good PM experience so situational questions becomes easy for them. I am just telling all this so that you take it cool and count on what you have prepared and believe that it will be enough to clear PMP
Also even if you are BP in one of the areas, you can still clear the PMP. So its not like you must be perfect in all knowledge areas.
