PMP application form, education and PM Experience

I've got both Master and Bachelor degree diplomas. Should I mention PM Experience 4500 or 7500 hours?

any update please?

According to PMI web site the below criteria

PMP Requirements

To apply for the PMP, you need to have either:

  • A four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
  • A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
  • In your case it will be 4500 hours over a three year period regardless which degree you use

:) ... How is the bachelor degree 4500 hours of PM experience ?

I suggest you read the eligbility criteria again. Its degree + 4500 hours

Could somebody ensure me please that 4500 hours of experience and bachelor degree is enough even if you have master degree?

Thank you in advance

I meant degree + PM experience.

It sounds that 3 years and 4500 hours is enough at all for everybody, am I correct?

many people achieve bachelor degree and then try high diploma/secondary school. Where is the pitfall?

Any update please on my post?

Carefull where you get your information from  as it may be misleading. Leading and directing project tasks is totally different than leading and directing projects. This is the latest from PMI website:

Required Experience Levels

If you hold a four-year degree or the global equivalent:

  • You need a minimum of three years (36 months) of unique, non-overlapping professional project management experience.
    • Within that period, you need to have led or directed the project for at least 4500 hours.

OR

If you hold a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, two-year degree or the global equivalent:

  • You need a minimum of five years (60 months) of non-overlapping professional experience in project management.

    • Within that period, you need to have led or directed the project for at least 7500 hours.

All of your project management experience must have been accrued within the last eight consecutive years before the submission of your application.

If you have Master's, you may mention 4500.

Waiting for updates.Anyone plz?  PM mk bags

clearly clarified by CN Patil in his earlier post

If you have Master's degree, it does not absolve u from avoiding 4500 hours of work experience

Trust this info helps

Bhavesh

Go for 4500 hours. If you have good experience, it won't hurt going all the way till 5.5K. In case there is an audit and you fail to locate your PM for a particular project, the rest of the excess hours will add as a buffer.
