Question on Procurment

Which of the following should you (the buyer) pay attention to when you administer a contract?



























  Choice 1 Ensure that contractual obligations are met.
 
  Choice 2 Apply appropriate project management processes to the contractual relationship and integrate the outputs from these processes to the overall management of the project.
 
  Choice 3 Monitor payments to the seller.
 
  Choice 4 Perform regular procurement audits


 


Buyer should pay attention to choice 1 or 3 because these 2 activites are done during administration of procurment however answer says 4 ,can somebody explain me why as this is done in closing of procurment not in adminstration.

Hi Sunita,

If you observe the answer it says "Regular Procurement Audits" which will cover both your Option 1 & 3 on the regular basis. And you should concentrate on the word "Regular" which means you are doing it on ongoing basis which means it is part of "Administer Procurement". had it been "Procurement Audit" only then it would have fell in "Closing Procurements".

Hope these 2 cents clarify :)

In my view answer should be one -- bks it includes every thing and it is given in pmbok.


Its a wonder for me, people asking again and again, i think in 8-10months its a 6th time.


Its PMStudy question- every one have exceptions. He has fixed answer 4. So it is natural that many of us see that this may be correct and try to support it.


But the fact is not that.
