Passed PMP on 28th Dec 2012: 3 P 2 MP

 Hi Friends,

With God's grace and support from family and friend I passed PMP today.

I had started preparing 4-5 month back, but serious preparation started from Oct begining after filling the application.Initially I had planned for Jan 2013.however because some expected engagement in  Jan,I rescheduled it for today.

I had taken prep cource from infocareer during july, they are really professional, and motivated me to take exam ASAP.

During these period I attempted several mock exam, myqhub( from infocareer ) and Rita end chapter exam were main contributer. Also I did all questions from PMI site( bok 24 x 7) PMP Lite Mock Exams. In total I solved approx 3500 questions and was scoring arrount 70 to 90%.this was the motivating factor and was sure that I can pass.I studied PMBOK and RITA 7th ed twice.

Exam Day  My exam was scheduled from 12:30pm,I got up arround 6 am and did usual revision like normal exam.Had resonable lunch around 11:30am and went to Test center.people at prometric are professional and they were conductingseveral parallel exam with ease.Env was just perfect , they provided basic instruction and allowed me to take exam.

The EXAM: This exam was neither easy nor tough, there were several numerical question which were easy but time taking.I took only 2 break for 4 min each.throught the exam I was relaxed, and was giving each question optimum time.there were several question with 2 correct answer, I uset to mare best as per my opinion and moved ahead.Same thing I had practiced during mock exams. this step for me was so helpfull that at the end I need not review any question. Also at end I had no time to review, just one sec left with approx 40 review question.exam ended and with some survey question - Blank white screen then I saw CONGRATULATIONS word. what a relieve finally.I  got 3P 2 MP (executing and closing).

This Forum: I have been learning from many contributers from this forum and it helped a lot in preparation.

Also their lession learnt kept me motivated throughout the journey.

My Backgroung: Engineer by profession working for MNC, involved in project management from past 4 years. I am married and having 2 and half yr old daughter,I have not spent enough time with family during past few months, now it's time to enjoy each and evry moment with them.

I did not prepare any separate notes, Rajesh nair's note (Abhishek's version) are sufficient.I highlighted my books refered to them whenever needed.

Many thanks to all
