3 days left in exam and need help....Please

Hi all,


My exam date scheduled on Nov 27th and last week one friend of mine referred to me about PM Zilla site. From last five days, i read almost every blogs on daily basis and decided to take free exam from PMstudy. well i took the exam and received 60% then today i purchased second test and also received 61%. I reviewed all incorrect questions and filled gaps of understanding quesitons. Also studied low scored sections in much detail. I'm planning to take the third exam tomrrow.


If i haven't recieve good score in third exam does that means i am not ready for real pmp exam? Also I failed in two PMstudy exams proves that my opportunity of window to pass in real PMP is very small. I still have three days to take real exam. All PMP expert please provide me your openion. What should i do differently so i can improve my score. Very nervous at this moment.

 u need to read PMBOK and Rita again Solve questions in Rita...Oliver lehman and head first ... 61% in PM study is less...

i am not PMP certified yet, but my suggestion is 61 % and 60 % is too less. my suggestion is postpone. But if you still want to proceed, do the following:

1.Read for definition of terms across pmbok.

2. Initiation and Closing have only 2 processes each. so 4 process all together. But as per pmi handbook you should get 21 % questions across these 2 processes. So if you can read 4 processes,  you can answer 35 questions.

3. If you know, CV, SV, SPI, CPI, TCPI, EAC formulas another 5 - 7questions

4. Across integration my trainer told 30 % of questions. Anyways you are going to read 2 processes in point no. 2 above. so read 4 more processes.

5. read through different powers legitimate, referrent and so on.

6. read through different risk management eg: accept avoid and so on

7. Theory X, Y, Z, maslow hierarchy, herzberg, and those related topics.

8. read perform integrated change control in rita

9. eat lot of fruits

10. practice breathing exercises

I think you already got what you needed. Would like to add please sleep well a night before the exam, relax your brain as much possible and keep practicing the questions. Refer to the material you prepared and skim through definition  at the end of pmbok.

Yes , you should try and get around 75% in mock tests. So focus on that.

Hey guys,


I just came out from the exam center with no luck . I got two BPs(Executing and Closing). I already re-scheduled my exam third week of Dec. I have very strong feeling that i'll make it this time.


From my perspective, the real PMP exam was little tricker than all exams available outside. I have to spend lots of time to understand scenario and apply appropriate answer. It shows i did not practice enough questions with mock up exams. Also first 10-15 questions were very trickey and that lower my confidence and spent 2-3 minutes behing each questions. My LL would be practice, practice and practice with all mock exams out there and manage your time.

Now, that you have rescheduled your exam in the 3rd week of December, 2012 is a noteworthy, honest, and brave attempt.


 


Please contact and join our study group. We are based out of India. And incidentally our exam is also scheduled for the 3rd week of December, 2012. We are a group of 3 out of which 2 are taking in the 3rd week of December (including me) and one is taking in Feb, 2013 and that is because he joined and started very late.


 


May be we can help ourselves in bridging the knowledge gap, if any. I am sure we can help each other.

 Hi, I cleared the exam today. The screen showed PASS. But I also got two BPs Executing and closing and rest were MPs. I was wondering what was different in my and your score report or did I checked mine correctly :(

Hey, i got the same result as you received (3MPs and 2 BPs) and they failed me. On my screen the blurb displayed "We regrettably sorry to inform you that you have not cleared this exam....."


I know that they are only allow one BP to pass the exam. Not sure with two BPs. Are you sure that you checked correctly?
