While i was taking a simplilearn mock test, i faced a few questions where i am not too convinced with their answers. So need more explanation and clarification.

1. I dont remember the question word to word but goes like- your activity on critical path has slipped it due date and project will need to be rescheduled. The project is sch constrained and needs to finish on time. You have a team and thinking of asking them to do overtime. However, you know your team members have commitments and families and will not appreciate doing over time. whats is the best to do in this situation to complete the project on time.

a. Send a memo to team that they are now required to do overtime.

b. cut the scope by removing the non added value features.

c. tell the sponsor/sr mgmnt that project will be delayed.

d. Request team members and check if they are willing to do overtime and if they are willing to then have them do overtime.

Second question was like: You are a PM on a project with customer overseas. In customer's country its customary to give gifts. Howevere, in your company there is a strict NO GIfts policy. Your customer gives you a gift to show his appreciation of your work and you do not want to harm your good relationship with the customer. what will you do?

a. return the gift politely.

b. accept the gift.

c. accept the gitf and notify your sr. management

d. check with your legal department if its okay to take the gift.
