All the "Tools & Techniques" mentioned in "Collect Requirements" process can be used to collect requirements from Stakeholders present in different continents. It can be done by your one of the team member for you because remember, a PM doesn't have to be physically or virtually present to collect requirements. You can have one of the project team member in another continent where some stakeholders reside so that team member can collect requirements for you.
But if you want to do it yourself then add "virtual" element into it. You can do "Interviews" on Skype, or send them Questionnaiers and Surveys by email to fill out.
Similarly you can have a "Facilitated workshop" in an online group meeting.
Or if the sponsor is very rich then he/she/they can send you to different continents to collect requirements physically. Won't be a problem for big multinational companies or projects.
