PMP Application Rejected
I just want to know what can I do? I recieved an email yesterday requesting for me to add objectives to my descriptions (which I did and resubmitted last night). then I recieve a rejection email today. What is really confusion is that I went through my application with my instructor to make sure it was ok before resubmitted. All the classmates in my boot camp were approved. One colleague specifically mirrored my experience because we are in the same department and do the same work. This colleague even had an experience portion about contracts that was not project related but she was approved.
My class mates shared their applications with me and I still can't believe that I was rejected. We all have similiar applications. Even my instructor was shocked.
What can I do next? PMI does not have a good respond turn around unless they are rejecting you. I have sent an appeal but I feel that is not going to get me any where.
Any suggestions? The expereince is there...
Can I just reapply again?
Do they have different reviewers per application?
Very disappointed - I worked very hard in my boot camp and getting this application together. But I am not willing to take their rejection because I feel that they are being unfair.

yes - I worked with my
yes - I worked with my instructor and with some colleagues that have their PMP certification to make sure that I qualified and the experience I put down was correct.
I met all requirements, I did the boot camp, had over 7500 hours in project experience and the 60 months that they require.
This is were I believe that PMI uses or their reviewers use a different bar. when I was ask to resubmit and ad objectives - my classmates shared some of their applications with me so I could see if I was missing anything. My instructor helped me again with some of the wording to make sure I was putting down what was requested and the turn around was amazing with a big REJECT. Stating that I had to lead in my experience. They were not specific - was it all of it or only one? I didnt get a chance to explain...
But one thing I know is that it was unfair. And I say this because I reviewed the applications from the students in my boot camp and we were all similiar.
I did send an appeal in - but I dont feel confidence that they will listen.

You have over 7500
You have over 7500 hours experience. I am sure you might not have shown PMI that you have lots of project working hours. PMI appeal authority is very sensible and honest, I expect you will get transparent and justified response/solution.
Next time when you describe your project role, use some PMP terminology to explain the same role you have performed.

What was the outcome now?
Hello fausseta,
What was the outcome of your ordeal? I feel badly for you as it seems you've done all the right things. I wonder if it was a computer glitch that sent you a message in error? I am currently waiting for approval of my application. I just realised that I should have included more PMBOK-y language in the description of xperience section. I wrote mostly of the project ojectives and outcomes.
Cheers!
