Cleared PMP on 13th september
Studied
1. PMBOK, Head first and Rajesh Nair (amazing and personal thanks to Rajesh on this) notes.
2. Attempted lots of questions from http://www.voightps.com/Default.asp
My advice
1. Don’t read many books. Read same chapter multiple times if not understood before jumping to next chapter.
2. Focus on concepts.
3. Practice lots many question and see answers also.
4. Rajesh Nair notes are excellent to read at the last reference.
Tenure for passing should be with 2 to 1 month depending upon time you invest.
Daily study 2 – 3 hours and weekend study 4-5 hours
Daily practice 20-30 questions and in weekends 100-200 questions.
While understanding concept the best way is to consider construction of a house as an example.
Don't just read but think also.
See approach of http://www.voightps.com/Default.asp as how they select answer.
Don't mug up IOT&T, try to understand them (10-15 questions are on it)
On exam day
1. Relax
2. Don't hurry to finish the paper early.
3. Read question multiple times to understand what exactly is needed.
4. I do not prefer questions for review because 2nd change may change your mind
Focus topics for exam
1. Project Charter, Conflict Resolution, EVM, Project/Procurement Closer, Network Diagram, Decomposition, Contract Types, Motivation Theory, Schedule compression techniques, Resource leveling, Stakeholders, Risk Response, Qualitative/Quantitative, I/O T&T, Process sequence and Process Group identification
BEST OF LUCK.............

Congratulations. I agree with
Congratulations. I agree with your advice especially the first one. Students always make the mistake of reading 5-6 books. Reading one book ten times is always better than reading ten books one time.
