RESOURCE CALENDAR
How many resources(proccess outputs) - of resource calendar
earlier as I know - as per ITTO
Acuire project team - Human Resource Management
Conduct Procurement - Pro Procurement management
But it is also shown as output in Develop human Resource Plan ( in Staffing management plan) - Human Resource Management
Is these two output sources
- Develop human Resource Plan
- ---------------- + Conduct Procurement
have the same or later one is updated.
first one is from planning process
second one is from Executing proccess group.
More over Organizational chart - described as Tools as well as Output in Human resource plan -not strange but better to know about.

Resource Calendar
Hi,
First: A resource calendar in HR Management plan mostly talks of Only Human resources, their availability and time frames, While resource calendar from Procurement Management is not limited to only human resources, It can have material or equipment resources as well. It depends on the organization to keep both as a same document or different documents. But either ways these are used as inputs in Time and Cost estimation processes.
From ITTO perspective, you are correct, Resource calendars are output of Acquire Project team and Conduct procurements. From HR Planning, though its part of Staffing management plan, its not an explicit output (unless otherwise mentioned as one of the answers in exam)
Regarding Organization chart. Org Chart is essentially a Tool. It is a decomposing tool or a hirearchial tool. You use this tool to come out with your "Project Organization chart" . Project organization essentially is a document or a graphical representation of reporting hirearchy of your Project alone. Example: A project in your Finance Department may come up with their Reporting hierarchy, and if the Project is in Engineering or Delivery department they have their own Reporting hierarchy. These are "Project Organization Chart"
Hope this helps.

Resource Calendar
Dear sspawar,
Thank you for making your question more clear, which probably i did not understand first time. However your second cynical statement is unwarranted.
Based on my experience I can answer you in this manner:
Resource Calendar from Develop HR plan: This gives data like: I would need 6 SE, 2 SSE and 1 TL from Month of June through December. So this gives me information on when recuriting or acquisition process should start (PMBOK page 224), like in this case acquisition should start before June. Also, here we need to understand that this is part of Staffing Management plan.
Resource Calendar from Acquire Project team: This gives data of each team member acquired, from which date the resource is available, what are his/her vacation plans, do they work full time or part time ..etc and these information helps you to come up with realistic project schedules (PMBOK page 229).
I think you can take a call to keep these two in same document (like excel sheet with different tabs) or as a seperate documents. Here PMBOK leaves it to your experience and judgement. Based on Resource Calendar from Aquire Project team, you can update your Staffing management plan (Project Management Plan updates)
In some cases like in Risk Management, PMBOK explicitly mentions that a Risk register is created in Identify risk process and gets updated in other risk management processes. I am just trying to give an analogy.
Hope this helps.

RC as an output to Conduct P...
Dear Respected Pawarji Sir and Anand,
I have a question on the same topic and I saw this discussion, so I thought I should also get a clarification to my query:-----
As we all know that Resource Calendar aka RC is an input to the following processes-
(i) Estimate Activity Resources
(ii) Est Actv Duration
(iii) Develop Schedule
(iv) Determine Budget
(v) Develop PT or Proj Team
Sir, this is all understandable. What I am failing to comprehend is, "How is RC an ouput of Conduct Procurements?" It is also an output of Acquire Project Team which is again comprehensible, however, what beats me is RC being an output of Conduct Procurements. What is the logic Sir?

RC
Dear KK,
RC is not limited to Human resources. Resources also means Material and Equipments. During procurement, you might procure any equipment like Servers or any hardware, or even licenses for your softwares. A RC from conduct procurement shall give you details of the quanity of resources, the time from when they are available, valid for how many days, leased or one time purchase, warranty period, maintenance schedule ...etc . (Please note you might also procure Services)
And when RC is used as input to other process, you need to take in factor both Human and Material resources. It is upto your judgement to use which kind of RC for each process. For example: For Determine Budget you might use both Material RC and Human RC, while for Develop Schedule you might use mostly Human RC since Resource levelling is an important aspect during developing schedule.
If you are working with Microsoft Project Plan, you can differentiate resources as Material resources, Work resources (people), Cost resources ..etc.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Anand, Your second
Thanks Anand,
Your second reply is quite comprehensive. Your efforts could be seen there.
The gape that is to be understood regarding RC between staffing management plan and aqcuire project team, is that - execution part (APT) give feedback to planning part(HRPLAN- SMP) as updating in this case.
That I wanted to explore through forum.
There are many such scenario, where processes get reversed as updating or can say usual process flow (diagrams), as integration.
