Hello Friends,

I have started to look into this PMP certification and will be taking the exam in Jan/Feb 2013.

I see a lot of success stories and helful folks here on the forum, which wanted to to register here and start contributing. though I am in a very nascent stage - I still have to get the PMP membership, get the PDU, get the hours and application approved, etc and start preparing in parallel to all this. I hope to get a lot of free time in Dec to do some studying, right now have a full time job to manage and have few marathons to run in Nov - Between all of this I will definitely try to squeeze in few hours of studying.

I see a lot of you smart managers have 5Ps and are excelling the exams in the first attempt, there is also a tonne of material out there, but I have shortlisted the following 2 books to refer for now

1. A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) — Fourth Edition


2. PMP Exam Prep, Seventh Edition: Rita's Course in a Book for Passing the PMP Exam

Appreciate if PMPs who have completed the exam and are willing to sell me the above 2 books? I could get them online but would love to have the material in physical book format - I don't tend to like reading online pdf's or printed pages here and there.

So is there anyone who wants to sell me #1 or #2 or both? I am willing to pay a decent price for the bundle. I am from New York City and would appreciate if there are any forum members in NYC to sell me the books?

Please don't contact me for lower version of books (Rita's - 6th edition and PMBOK - previous edition): I want the latest suff.

I hope I am not voliating any forum rules by soliciting books and asking for help here, if yes, admin's please take the thread down.

Please PM me if anyone is interested. I am started the thread in the space where recent PMP "gradulates" post their LL's and do get a chance to see my thread.

Also one other question I had was that will these books come up with new 'versions' in 2013, because then it would be a waste for me to but the books now when I intend to take the exam in Feb 2013.
