Pmi form filling

 Hi,

I am a stay home mom who has currently lost her job due to layoffs. I am pursuing my PMP certification. I need guidance to fill the PMI and PMP registration form. They ask for info regarding your job profile and the company you work in. What should I fill in?

 Hi Neetu,

Fill in the truth. Fill in exactly where you have worked and what you did. The durations of your experience needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the exam, thats all. You can have gaps in your experience. So it should be fine to mention durations where you are without a job. It asks for details of each of your job (duration, description and location) and information of your supervisor (in case PMI has to verify). It also asks about information on the 35 hours PD's you have earned.

Let us know if you have any specific questions.

 Thank you Srikanth,

In the pmi form it asks for current work location and current job title. I was an IT QA Manager before the layoff session. Should I write that or should I enter home study?

Just confused....

Regards

Neetu

Hi All,

I have filled my form yesterday-from what i gathered not ALL your workexperience needs to be listed right (cv format types)

It;s just the relavant Project Related Experience that needs to be updated that too upto the extenct required (HRS)

Hope my understanding is correct.

Thanks!!

Why not read PMP - Handbook.pdf that you can download from PMI, it documents all such queries you may have.

I have an online resource that may help you here.  Look for the spreadsheet that will auto-calculate your work hours as that stumps most people and took me a good couple weeks to work it out on the spreadsheet.  I also have some sample job descriptions and don't sweat this too much, they are only asking you to summarize and the online app restricts you to 500 characters or less.

Good luck,
