If you are a paid member of PMI, are there any mock tests available to prepare for the exam?

Yes. There are more than 100 books available for members (to read online) and some books contain mock questions. Two of such books that I know are:
PMP Exam Prep: Questions, Answers, & Explanationsby Christopher Scordo
It contain around 1000 questions.
PMP: Project Management Professional Study Guide, Fifth Editionby Kim Heldman
It contain around 310 questions.

Saying whether a question is close to real exam or not is very subjective.
Scordo questions are direct from PMBOK which is good as you get to test whether you have read it properly or not.
Kim questions are situation based.

www.pmptrend.com has many resources that can be downloaded including online full test questions, ITTOs simulators, process tests, etc. in addition to other websites you can find across the net.
