Hi Friends,

Is any not True ?

a) Quality should be tested and inspected into work results on a regular basis.

b) The primary cost of meeting quality requirements is the expense associated with project quality management activites.

c) The primary benefit of meeting quality requirements is less rework, which means higher productivity , lower Costs, and increased stakeholder satisfaction.

These appear true to me.

Dear Taherk,

Your answer is correct based on the answer for the question. These options are all correct according to the standard answer.

However, I like to clarify about quality and work results.

In another reply to my another question about Quality, i.e. "What is Quality Audit",

you mentioned , and I totally agree, that quality audit is about checking if quality processes are being followed and not checking work results.

In short, I am unable to understand the option 'a'. It says "inspection into work results." To be honest, I do not think I really understand what this phrase means.

Would you be so kind as to help clarify for me.

My exam is coming up soon.

Thanks for the help!

regards

Moranz

Both the processes and results should be checked regularly. For the processes quality refers to all process stages are within the standard parameters defined by the QC or QA. Likewise, the results should be always within the expected specifications of requirements. And the results will help in determining the processes if still working or functioning within the parameters defined.

You dont do the "Inspection" regularly, instead the book says you perform the 'Prevention" regularly on the project (see topic "Prevention over Inspection"). Also, inspection is done only after the deliverable is produced.

Another way to solve it is by "Picking Wrong Out" - Option B and C are solid correct, so only option left is A....

Hope it make sense, I am learning too, my exam is in few weeks - So, I might be wrong too.

If I had to choose one, I would choose "A".

Test and inspection is something you MUST do, but the phrase gives an impression that quality is based on inspection/testing.

People use to think about improving quality by increasing and improving tests. This is a BIG mistake. You may guarantee quality from your client's perspective with testing, but you're not improving your process. It's pretty much cheaper to avoid defects than to discover they exists and send them to rework.

If you have a pretty good process, you may reduce the frequency and sample of testing. I'm telling you based in SW building experience. As better your process of constructing the SW, less test cycles you need to be sure the final product is free of defects.
