Pass PMP on The First Try July 10, 2012
This is my first time posting but I have been a lurker for quite some time. However, I wanted to post to thank each and every one of you that have offered so much info to help your fellwo PMZillas pass. Here is my lesson learned. It might not be as detailed as some but thought I should contribute something considering all the help I got from reading the LLs of others.
Timeline: 6 weeks
Books: PMP 4th Edition and Andy Crowe (read through both twice and took notes).
Notes: PMZilla notes section
Mock Exams and Scores: Oliver Lehman - 66%, Headfirst - 77%, Exam Central: 72%, Insite/Velociteach: varied because I took multiple mock tests (mostly 20-50 questions, and one 200 question exam returning about 77%)
Results: MP in all 5 areas.
I have to say that there were no negative questions (eg all true, except or which is FALSE, etc) so that was very different than most of the mock exams. I did get a lot of questions on risks, Change Management, Time Management (critical path, ES,EF,LS,LF, crashing, etc), ITTOs, quality, procurement and HR.
I memorized the formulas for EVM, Pert, CPM, etc but only focus on getting an understanding all those 200+ processes within the 9 knowledge areas/5 process groups instead of committing to memory.
I am so glad it's over...whew! Good luck to rest of you preparing to take the test. You can do it!!!!

The time was more than
The time was more than enough. As a matter of fact, I had about 1 hour left to do a thorough review and I changed about 10 of my answers. Make sure you are comfortable with each knowledge area and process group. If you find that you can answer the questions on mock exams before seeing the options then you are doing well.
I took two bathroom breaks that last maybe 5 minutes each. You will find that that some questions later in the test will help you answer ones in the beginning so doing a quick review will be beneficial to update some of your choices.
