Hi Everybody,
I encountered quite a few questions regarding the Interpersonal skill in a practice test. Would like to know if the PMBOK Appendix G Interpersonal Skills is in the scope of actual exam. I'm quite unsure aobut it as I didn't see much of it in Rita's book.
thanks!

chapter 9 HR MGMT
Develop Project Team - tools - InterPersonal Skills 9.3.2.1
Its a part of Excuting process.
and I personally think it should be a part code of ethics and professional conduct (responsibility) too.
In this forum where many PM or future PM or PMP trainer are here it must be having a good amount of importance.
And they should learn from and act like that in their real life and roles.

PMBOK Appendix G - interpersonal skills
Mr sspawar has again done keyword search from PMBOK without understanding the question relevance. I don’t say what you have posted is wrong, but I do say that danny2012 is NOT asking for T&T Develop Project Team.
Interpersonal skills are part of general management and behavioral management. Interpersonal skills are also sometimes referred to as soft skills or people skills. PMBOK Appendix G - interpersonal skills (p 417) is sufficient to read and understand. You might also google the term and refer WIKIpedia for more details.
As a rule of thumb – Anything that's given in PMBOK and its references are potential PMP questions and Interpersonal skill is one among them.

Very True!
I've seen lots of questions in practice tests from the Index/Glossary/Appendices.

Danny asking

and I just answered to the point that it is a part of HR MGMT in executing process group as well as of professional behaviour. These 2 groups are having 23% +9% marking.
So exam point of view it is important.

In fact that question dude
In fact that question dude requires a Yes or No answer only. If you answered it with "Yes" only, for sure my colleague saket will not react. :-)
