Please check these two project life cycles

I have written these two project life cycles for IT projects depending on project nature. Those two kinds of projects are:

1. When doing in house project i.e. creating your own website or software

2. When doing work for a client at its own premises i.e. a customer comes to you and ask to install and configure sharepoint portal (this one is more like outsourcing where our guy sits in client's office and do work there)

Please check and tell me if the life cycles are correct or not.

IN HOUSE PROJECT (it has 5 phases)

1. analysis

a. specification building

b. business requirment document

2. design

a. designing of pages

b. designing of database

c. preparing technical document

3. development

a. coding

b. content writing

c. seo

4. testing

a. test cycle

b. regression cycle 1

c. regression cycle 2

5. deployment

a. test cycle

WHEN DOING WORK AT CLIENT END (it has 4 phases)

1. analysis

2. preparing srs

3. development and deployment

4. testing

While at broad level the phases are correct, it differs from company to company.  For eg. There can be stages after Biz requirements., like technical requirements before you start the design.

Content writing and SEO should  be the last things to do , in my opinion.

Other activities , as applicable

  1. Unit testing and bug fixing

  2. Review and rework ( all phases )

  3. Release checklist

  4. Mock deployment

  5. Post go live monitoring and support.

 Thanks man!

And I forgot one phase that I must add in case of CLIENT PROJECT and that is CONTRACT SIGNING. I think it will come before ANALYSIS
