There is NO official statement from PMI institute now about PMP passing. It was 61% before but they have now removed it since 31-Aug-2011 changes. According to various unofficial sources these are percentage on proficiency:
Below Proficient: < 65% Moderately Proficient: >=65% and <80% (some say 85) Proficient: >80% (some say 85)
To pass PMP exam, not more than ONE process group should be Below Proficient.
Please do not ask me any further question on this as neither I know its true or not NOR PMI institute would tell you if this is correct.
The bottom line is, keep in mind that you need 65% or above to pass now. That's my only motive. But one thing is sure now that - to pass PMP exam, not more than ONE process group should be Below Proficient.
