I Passed my PMP on February 17, 2012 on my first try. As a candidate from a developing country this is a major boost to my career - I think so. What ever the following are some steps I took. Before that I want to thank everybody who have posted their experiences on this forum so far, as they provide me with a lot of confidence in preparation and taking the exam.

1.  I read Rita 6th edition twice - first Rita alone and then referencing with PMBOK 4th ed

2.  I tried to refer from from the Internet terminologies and some concepts I couldn't grasp from the books

3.  I took Fast track knowledge area exams with average score of more than 80%

4.  I took Fast track SuperPMP and scored 63.8% the first try (I didn't want to try it again)

5.  After reading all areas I thought I have gaps in my project management kowledge, I took the 175 questions of Oliver Lehman and scored 71% and I scored 78% on the Oliver's online 75 questions

6.  I tried to minimize my gaps with continous reading

7. One day before the exam day I tired to consider the ITTOs only - about 9 pages from the PMBOK

8.  On the exam day I tried to feel even more confident - I attempted all questions, I tired to manage one question per minute; in the middle I invested more time on calculations and Network diagrams. I used my reamaining 15min for reviewing about 10 marked questions and changed about five of them

9.  Lots of ITTOs were on the exam.

10. After the usual screen blinking and the few assessment questions, a page appeared with congradulations - 2 MPs and 3 Ps

Thank God I passed it on my first try.
