I took a mock test few days back and I chose the answer as "Weak Matrix". But the right answer was "Projectized". Not sure how.

Weak Matrix
I guess here is why:
In WEAK Matrix - power rests with Functional Mgr and power of Project Mgr is comparable to that of a coordinator or expediter. PMs have some authority but they aren’t in charge of the resources on a project.
Maybe the question indicates this organization doesn't have 'project managers' and their 'project manager' are more like 'project coordinator'?
I do know some companies have both project managers AND project coordinators though. I am confused.

------------- Project coordinators and expediters don’t exist in a projectized organization.
When you’re taking the PMP exam, if you see a question that mentions a PM, then you should assume that the question is asking about a matrix organization if it doesn’t say up front which kind of organization is being described. Functional organizations are usually painted in a negative light because they tend to give less authority to project managers.
So the answer is Weak Matrix
