Question on Performance Measurement Baseline
With a lot of expertize in project management - many of your companies co managers consult you for advise and inputs. One of your colleagues who is relatively inexperienced in managing projects wants to compare the project work and measure the deviations - which document should he refer to ? Choose the option that BEST answers the question ?
A. He should refer to the Project Management Plan
B. He should refer to the Scope Management Plan
C. He should refer to the Schedule Management Plan
D. He should refer to the Performance Measurement Baseline
I choose option A but the correct answer given is option D.
I understand that scope + schedule + cost baseline(s) = performance measurement baseline but no where it is mentioned that there is a document called "performance measurement baseline" (refer the list of documents in pmbok page 78 table 4.1) The question is "Which document should he refer to?"
How to tackle such questions in the exam?

You will generally check and report things in your performance reporting. So the option related to performance measurement would be the right answer. Such questions we just have to use some common sense
