Should PM accept the ideas of this team member?
You are the manager of a research group that is developing a new chemical material.You hire a person from a competing company who has a great deal of expertise in thisarea. The person contributes greatly to the progress of your project. Duringconversation with the person you determine that many of this person’s ideas weredeveloped by the competing company. What do you do?
a. Tell the person that he or she should not mention that the ideas came from anothercompany
b. Sign a nondisclosure agreement with this person before he or she leaves yourcompany
c. Accept the new ideas
d. Investigate the employee for security reasons

Answer is C , there is no harm in discussing ideas from previous experience.
Practically that is what experience is. You get hired in new job for you past experience and ideas that you can bring to the table.

If this new employee had
If this new employee had signed a non disclosure agreements with his previous employer(i.e your competitor) then you and the new employee are violating by accepting these news which is unethical. But if there is no such agreement then accept those ideas. option C is most reasonable from the given list of choices.
