Usually that kind of question is  :  Accept the job but tell your CEO you don't have experience.  So I choose C.  but the answer is A.. I don'T know why ..

"Explaination :  PMI code of Ethics claude 2.2.2 : you must not accept any assignment that is not consistent with your background, experience, skills, and qualitications...

I dont agree with the answer.

PMI code of Ethics claude 2.2.2 : you must not accept any assignment that is not consistent with your background, experience, skills, and qualitications...

The person does have background, and experience and qualification. The skill is related to construction industry. In real life when we manage projects no two projects are same. Moreover CEO of the company is trusting him with the responsibility , so you should thank him and read knowledge base to come upto speed with building construction.

CEO knows what risk he is taking.

People design questions just to make a point from PMI code of Ethics and PMBoK without really seeing if it makes any sense.

Normally answer to this question should be that accept the job but tell your CEO/stakeholder about your lack of experience in the specific field/nature of work.

However since that option is not provided as one of the answers next best is to reject the offer.

This also indicates Halo effect... because the person is good in one kind of construction projects his CEO feels  that he will be suitable for different kind of construction project...

Halo effect should be avoided....

Thanks Guys !

I echo this answer

"PMI code of Ethics claude 2.2.2 : you must not accept any assignment that is not consistent with your background, experience, skills, and qualitications..."

It is OK.

"Normally answer to this question should be that accept the job but tell your CEO/stakeholder about your lack of experience in the specific field/nature of work.

However since that option is not provided as one of the answers next best is to reject the offer."

I do not see any logic. What should i do in real life - to do like in right answer from PMP exam and violate code of Ethics or reject the offer

Even if CEO is aware - it violates ethics according PMI statement.

Nowhere in the answer C it says that you are informing the CEO that you donot have the experience. Donot make assumptions - go strictly what is written word by word. The best answer from the choice listed is A
