Two Questions

Below are two questions. I have copied-pasted them to remove any typos. I have the answers which i will share later.

Let's see how many can answer them correctly (please provide logic behind answer) -

Q 1 -

Your customer calls you on the phone and informs you of a minor change to a requirement on the project. What is the best thing to do?

A.) Analyze the request and its impact on the project

B.) Instruct your engineer to implement the change

C.) Request documentation for the change

D.) Note it in the weekly status report

Q 2 -

Your contractor in the construction project informs you of the non-availability of Dumpers, Fork Lifts and Excavators for next two weeks. You recall that the non-availability was previously discussed, but never documented as a constraint in your project. What should be your next action if you want to continue your construction without interruption?

A.) Terminate contract

B.) Update project constraints

C.) Rent equipment from another vendor

D.) Evaluate impact on the project

1- Request documentation , its always good to have things in formal writing rather than phone calls. After than you can analyze the changes

2. This is slightly tricky question, there are two things one is to keep the documentation updated second is to ensure construction goes on without issues. Its not clear whether the 2 weeks delay will impact the project schedule or not. Hence the first thing I would do is check the impact on the project after that I can decide to rent from another vendor. updating project constraint has to be done but its not a critical activity

According to admin 1. Request Docs is correct because Customer just informs to you thats not a compolsury do it. Its a contract so needs Formal Written.

Whereas in Q.2  the PM already discussed the matter and he know the impact, just forgot to Document the constraints.  The answer is Rent equipment from another vendor is right answer.
