PDUs questions

  1. I took the 35 hours through a private insitution to qualify for the PMP exam

  2. I then became a PMI member

  3. I then passed the exam

Can I record the 35 hours as PDU?

 No you can't, because it was prior to the attainment of your PMP credential. Any of such subsequent trainings are allowed. Please read the PMP handbook for more information.

That gives you eligibilty to write the PMP exam not for claiming the pdus..


after passing the exam only u can claim pdu,s

Hi guys,

i took and passed the PMP exam when i was in a purely projectized environment. Few months later i got a new job in more functional environment. that means i have little or no acivity to report towards my PDUs. I still have 2 years to get 40 PDUs. Anybody got some advice on  how i should proceed ??

Congratulations on passing the exam. Sadly the 35 PDUs acquired prior to the exam cant be carried over after the exam.
