I had taken full length of simulation test from Simplilearn a couple of days ago. I contrast with some of the questions answers which was marked to wrong. I disagree with the explaination provided for the answeres. It will be great of some one eplain further

Question 1:

18. Your firm awarded a cost reimbursable contract to a pharmaceutical company for some research related activity. Over time, a large number of changes have taken place on the project and it is difficult to keep track of the status of these change requests. What is the BEST alternative for a project manager in this case?

A.Terminate the existing contract and negotiate a new one with the seller
B.Capture all the change requests, along with their current status and follow the contract change control system
C.Terminate the existing contract and sign a similar one based on the same terms and conditions as the earlier one
D.Seek advice from the senior management of your organization
 

I choose choice B but the correct answer was marked to A.

My justification to B:

1. The project manager has to spend a considerable amount of time to create a new contract (he may have to work with procurement department and the supplier) and also PM has to do formalities to terminate the existing coontract - he may not be able to terminate the contract just like that even though the contract says that it can be treminated by either party at any time.

2. Contract Change control system is a TT for the adminster procerement process which is ment to use when the contrcts needs a change.

Based on the above 2 points, why can not the answer be B?

Question 2:

A project manager and his team have finished creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Work Breakdown Structure dictionary. Afterwards, he prepares a detailed and itemized documentation of all of the schedule activities that are part of the project. What should he do NEXT ?

A.Create Network Diagram for the project
B.Determine quality standards, processes and metrics
C.Determine high level project assumptions and constraints
D.Conduct project progress meeting

My answer was B; but the correct answer was marked to A

My justification to answer B:

From the statement 'he prepares a detailed and itemized documentation of all of the schedule activities' I understood that the PM has already created network diagrams coz for bunch of activities the network diagram should be created to find critical path and floats. If he prepares the itemized documentation means, he is consentrating the independent actitivites and so the the choice A cannot be the answer.
