Next is What???

 Hi All,

I am currently preparing for PMP, going to take a bootcamp from PMstudy in January. I know with my preparation and with the help of the preparation of great materials from PMstudy, I am going to make to the list of PMPs.

But now a thought came across my mind. What is next apart from becomin a PMP. How can it help me in having careers across diversified sectors? Is it that I would have learned eveything about project management once I am a PMP? If not, how do I have to learn other aspects that I may not have learnt properly by becoming PMP?

Please help me out in these questions. Really appreciate responses and suggestions.

Take life one step at a time :) .

After PMP You may be able to deliver projects better, and there will be lot of on the job learning. You will realize the best way is not always practical. Life of a PM can be really exciting if you have to work on complex projects especially the one where the stakes are high and value add is more.

There is nothing like learning everything about project management , there are many PMs who are not PMP , but are street smart and can deliver projects successfully ( within time and budget)

Hi Chris,

I really appreciate your choice of PMstudy in getting PMP certified. I am sure you would have done a lot of research in this regard and I must say you are bang on.

Regarding your queries about how being a PMP would change life, i would assure you its going to a refreshing change. It would benefit you professionally in a great way and your career would take an upswing.

I am just stating my experiences and am indebted to PMstudy and PMZilla for their invaluable contribution in this regard.

Regards,

Pete
