whats wrong with this EVM status?
The metrics for one project show a BAC of $1100, an EV of $998, and a EAC of $1099. However the project manager is reporting an ETC of $354 in her presentation.
Can someone confirm if this calculation is good to assess this situation?
Since the project is so close to completion, ( about 91% of work is completed - based on EV )
Hence, EAC = (BAC/CPI) = (BAC*AC)/EV ; Using these ; AC is slightly lesser than but very close to 998;
Coming back to EAC ; EAC = AC + ETC applies in all conditions , using this formula : ETC must be roughly about $100. where as the proejct manager is reporting it as 354.
Can someone confirm this approach ? I feel it is correct - but since my question bank simply says ther's an error without a detailed explaination - i would like to validate the approach.
