15. A project manager has just found out that a major subcontractor for her project is consistently late delivering work. The project team member responsible for this part of the project does not get along with the subcontractor. To resolve the problem, the project manager says, "You both will have to give up something to solve this problem." What conflict resolution method is she using?

A. Confrontation

B. Compromise

C. Smoothing

Answer is B

but What is PM compromising here?

Out of the given choices the best and close is “Compromise” as others do not fit in this scenario. I agree, “Compromise” might not be the best way, but with the choice given, that’s the best answer.


Here the compromise is “Confrontation” itself, the PM did not go for the best solution with respect to the project.

Hi SS, I have gradually developed a knack of reading the question v v carefully and then visualise the answer all by myself. And doing this on a BB helps since the screen is small. Right after reading this question, I realised its "Compromise" and that is what it turned out to be :).... Warmly, KK
