what are yours opinions ???? (Led and Lags)
Tell me the correct answer:
A technical team can begin editing of a large document 15 days after they begin writing it. What kind of a dependency would this be represented as?
Start-to-start with a 15-day lead
Finish-to-finish with a 15-day lead
Start-to-start with a 15-day lag
Finish-to-start with a 15-day lag
==== answers provided by the reviewer :
C - The relationship between the two tasks would be represented as a start-to-start with a lag of 15 days. A lag directs a delay in the successor activity
======
But i think the answer should be : Start-to-start with a 15-day lead
what are yours opinions ????/

Please refer to PMBoK (page 158 & 159. I believe your answer 'C' is correct.
Quote: A lag is the amount of time whereby a successor activity will be delayed with respect to a predecessor activity.
For example, a technical writing team may begin editing the draft of a large document 15 days after they begin
writing it. This can be shown as a start-to-start relationship with a 15-day lag as shown in Figure 6-10. End Quote

Editing could be a prallel activity - almost!
Rana,
Lets assume both activities can start together.... but since you said editing is normally done after Completing the writing. In our case, We want to edit in prarallel...maybe after writing a section of the book. and start the activity of editing after 15 days of starting the book. So this will be our case. Anyway, do yo uhave the PMBoK 5th eiditon and have you referred to the pages I mentioned earlier?
