Timing on Real Exam - expert opinions

Hi All,

My challange in mock exams I cannot finish on time. (Usually mock exams with more than average difficulty level such as PMZilla Tough 200, Oliver L. 175Q and 75Q, PMFastTrack)

I am reading most of question 2 times. I afraid that in real exam I can face this problem.

- In real exam, is 4h enough compared to mocks or also challange?

- How can I improve my timing stategy?

Thanks for suggestions!

As far as timing is concerned 4 hours are generally enough for almost everyone. Try to finish mock tests on time then you can finish real test on time

Hi

It's natural to get anxious during actual exam. But 4 hours time is sufficient to tackle 200 questions.I was bit slow at the start but I catched the time soon.

Some of the mock exams may be very difficult , some may be easier. However make it a habit to finish every mock exam in exactly 4 hours.Plan your breaks and treat every mock exam as the actual exam and behave accordingky.

difficult or easy, try to solve all the questions as per time in hand. There are tips avaialble across forum on how to read, comprehend the questions quickly.there is also 'mark-for-review' facility so that you can mark the questions which you feel difficult or not sure about answer and proceed to next question. You preparation will decide your confidence level in the answer you selected. So if once you are well prepared, you will choose the answer without any doubt and don't have to spend more time doubting the answer. With some more practice, you should be able to finish 200 questions well before 4 hours.

wish you all the best

Thanks for suggestions slashinv!

I passed the exam. Time was enough. First 60 questions I completed in first hour. I sit without any break and even if I had a break it would be enough because in second 2 hours I was not in hurry. At the end I had 19 minutes left for review.

Yes, I was doing all mocks in given time period - 72sec per question. Also I tried to do all mock tests during time window for which I had an appointment. It helped me.

For others I suggest following which I did during exam. On scratch paper I wrote down following and monitored time accordingly:

First this:

1h - 50Q

2h - 100Q

3h - 150Q

4h - 200Q

Then again extended list for each 30min - in between each hour which gave me below table without calculation:

1h - 50Q

        75Q - 1.5h

2h - 100Q

        125Q - 2.5h

3h - 150Q

        175 - 3.5h

4h - 200Q

This is worst case timing.

Regards

Many congratulations !!
