Study Smart not hard to pass PMP
Passed PMP on November29'2013.My experience is study smart not hard. These are some of my suggestions:
- Study two months@3 hours each day and if your schedule allows you keep studying on weekend ,that would be great.
-Understand the concept of project management.
-Read PIMBOK one time.
-study any PMP preparation book one time.
- Do not waste time and money by going preparation calsses or seminars. Its you to understabnd the concept not them.
-After finishing reading books just practice as much questions as you can everyday. If you have to buy some web based questions, go for it.Practicing lots of these questions will pay off.
- Don't read more than one book.I mean one PIMBOK plus preparation book.
-Do not involve in lots of forums. That may make you confussed.
-Don't worry about input and output questions.
-Most important factor to pass the exam is time management.I believe you have only 1 min and 20 seconds for one question.Only practicing computer based sample questions makes you manage the time.Do not leave any question unanswered.
I am sure you will pass the exam in your first try, should you agree with me and take my afforementioned advices.Bottom line is just practice lots of sample Questions.
Best of luck.
