Writing this mail little late, Me and my colleague Vinayak Kamath also cleared the PMP exam on 2nd jul and 28th Jun respectively.

Vinayak is in UK so am sharing his experience also on his behalf. He has got maximum questions on mathematics which was mostly formula based (but not straight forward), all you need to observe and identify the required value. EAC ETC etc etc mainly and then apply the formula to get the desired result.

My experience - I got first 15-20 question little lengthy and in depth PM concepts so took more time than anticipated and mostly questions were scenario based on I/P O/P T&T.

Therefore be ready for all sorts of question, it all depends on individual what they get on a particular instance. There was no negativity in the questions pattern (like Except, NOT etc) but scenario based certainly.

Preparation point of view , we did combined study in office (HSBC) and covered PMBOK completely(line by line) and then solved Rita's Questions (at the back of each chapter). we have given 4-5 knowledgewoods mock test only and the score were mostly between 65- 75%.

Also there is one book within PMI website (e-knowledge link) for question and answers only which we covered.

Do not refer too many material but better read thoroughly whatever limited book you refer so that concepts are clear and you apply the same in any scenario based questions.

I am also attaching one of the PMP notes xls sheet which we downloaded from one of the sources , it helped a lot during last 3 -4 days while revision. It has got all the main topics covered of all the knowledge area and imp point (in last 4 tabs within xls) . Extremely good for revision to go through entire PMBOK in short span of time. (also refer 2nd tab for the link to memorize ITTO Q &A. )

Tips on stay and travel to Mumbai.

The last but not least , those who want to stay in Mumbai (if ur exam scheduled in the morning) then there is no good hotel in borivali but you can stay in Borivali-Dahisar Eastern exp highway (Gokul anand hotel) , extremely good for stay and just 4 km away from exam center. Very good restaurant and comfortable stay.(1700/- with AC TV etc)

It took me 10 mins to reach to the center despite heavy downpour in Mumbai so a good option if you don't have any alternate to stay.

For travel to Mumbai , Book ticket in shivneri only as its the fastest way to reach borivali in 4 hrs , you can disembark at Tata power stop just before borivali then take an auto and reach to the exam center within 5-10 mins of travel (borivali east to west). To go to Gokul anand hotel , disembark at last stop/ national park stop then take a auto n reach out to hotel in 5-10 odd minutes.

Eateries, No nearby eateries but Mcdonalds restaurant just on the main road towards borivali station (within half km) so better have proper intake before appearing to the exam.
