Software, tool and Enterprise environmental factors and Organizational process assets
In general, would a tool or software be part of the Enterprise environmental factors or the Organizational process assets?
According to the PMBOK, the organizational process assets include processes and procedures, and corporate knowledge base. The enterprise environmental factor includes project management information systems.
Based on that, it seems that tools and software belong to enterprise environmental factors, but it is not always the case.
E.g.
6.5 Develop schedule considers a scheduling tool as an input of the enterprise environmental factor
6.6 Control schedule considers a schedule control tools as an organizational process assets.

Thanks for your feedback but
Thanks for your feedback but could you elaborate?
do you mean that every software belonging to PMIS is part of EEF, and other softwares are part of the organizational process assets? Which tools belong to PMIS and which one do not?
In the given example, we have a schedule tool and a schedule control tool, they seem really similar.
