Is the answer given in Rita correct for Ch2 1st Qn? I think the answer is correct but the explanation given is not correct. The question mentions matrix organization while the explanation in the answer focuses on functional organization. The situation given describes characteristics:
- It is hard to get people to cooperate and perform
- Difficulty in managing the stakeholders and managing changes
- Projects are difficult to manage

while the explanation given in Rita mentions that it is comparing to the Functional Organization.
The question is clearly asking in last but one line that one PM wants to focus on Matrix type organization.
To me i think Yes the answer is correct "Improved Project Manager control over Resources" is a characteristic of Matrix Organization. But the explanation is not right.
