 A project team with CPI of 0.78 is looking for options to reduce cost. Which of the following should be the BEST option to choose in this scenario?

A)Reduce a test cycle, in the System Testing phase

B)Reduce scope by cutting down non- essential features

C)Add more resources to expedite the schedule

D)Revisit estimates and eliminate risks

Can't be A, B or C. So i'll go with D.


A - Can't just randomly cut a testing cycle - Quality should not be compromised.


B - Reduce Scope - Definitely No


C - Adding more resources, increases cost - aka Crashing.

I choose D as it is the only applicable choice eventhough I'm not sure if revisitng estimates will reduce cost. If you revist estimate (here I think the estimate should be reduced), you may have to compromise with quality or scope or something else..
