Ready for the PMP exam?
Submitted by nimish4ever on Wed, 10/27/2010 - 15:16
Hi All,
I have so far completed 5 Practice tests (Head First, PM Study Free test, PM Study #1, PM Study # 2 and PM Study #3)
I am scoring around 70% in all of these and have my exam on Sat, 10/30/2010
Please let me know based on your experience if I will be able to pass the PMP exam and if these tests are closer to the difficulty level in the PMP exam.
What variance should I expect in my PMP exam? (e.g. +- 5%)

I would say that you are on the margin!
Hi,
I would say that if you are scoring around 70% on these practice exams, you are on the margin. I personally think that these online practice exam results have a precision of -10% to +15% Usually online practice exams are harder than the real exam, also few questions in such practice exams are ambiguous as they are not filtered for correctness and relevance on such an extremely tight criterion as that followed by PMI. So if you are scoring 70% in such exams you do stand a chance to pass, but I would recommend you to defer your exam by at least 30 days and study a bit harder.
I hope this does not discourage you.
