A statistically stable and a normally distributed process is studied for capability. The process not being a uni-tolerance process, Cp is 1.6 and Cpk is 0.9. What should the SS practitioner infer?

1. Reduce variations in the process

2. Re-design the process

3. Centre the mean of the process 

4. Re-work with the customer on specifications.

 

Pls tell which one is right ?

I doubt you will get such questions in PMP

i think the answer is 1 reduce variations in  the process  because the cpk is less than 1 and the process is not capable.
