Project Closure

 All the following are required to bring a project to closure except:

Perform project feedback with the team

Obtain sign off from the customer

Review project documentation for completeness

Update the project management plan

 

I got the answer right on this however my Q is the explanation that has been given in Rita Fast track that says update the project management plan happens only during close project not in close phase.  I can understand the logic behind this however wanted to confirm as..  PMBOK page 102 does not say anything about close project or phase would appreciate any comments in this...

IMO C

As Review is only done before Closure and it will be done during the Scope Verfication Process.

 I am highly confused between C and D

i'd have picked D but referring to page 102. D is not the answer and C is confusing because the book says that the PM reviews all prior documentation to make sure project requirements are complete... Someone help!!! See how your question is giving me jitters ;)

never mind! It's a good one I Just hope to get clarity

updates to project management plan at project closure happens during  

a. close project

b. close phase

c. Both

Hope this clarifies my question admin...

MY DEAR ASPIRANTS


any update in plan/any plan -- means you are in planning process group-  very simple.


Finally Comply of any plan or comply and close any plans, activities of all process groups, is the activity of closing process group.

Okay, call me names ....but I want to explicitly hear that D is the answer. I had picked D but then the page #  102 on PMBOK - update to project management plan confused me [project files]. If I am understanding you correctly then -

If choice D was - Final update to project management plan then it goes to closing phase however because it's just an update to the project plan [as mentioned in the choice] then it could be  anything - planning,  executing or controlling because project management plans can be updated anywhere in there process groups... what do you think of my understanding?

4.6 p99  says why final update plan is not a part of closing PG.
