possibility question

a news that a competitor  will produce a new product within 3 months.

PM found that the change to have the new product is 80%

and a chance to make it wihin 3 months is 80%. What is possibility to have this news come true?

A: 80%

B: 0.8 X 08

C 80%/2

I guess it should be 0.8x0.8. = 0.64 i.e 64%. I found it on Ajithn website.

there is No calculation required, it is probability/possibility of something happen, which will remain same given.
