pmzilla + pmchamp + headfirstlabs = I passed the PMP exam
These 3 PMP portals were the keys to my success. Yesterday I got my results and that day became the best day of my life. It was my first attempt.
Pmzilla.com - I studied with a friend and our favorite guide was Najesh Nair Notes (http://www.pmzilla.com/comprehensive-pmp-notes). Some of the good points are not found in the PMBOK and understanding of those helped a lot. You must review this study material after you take the tests and you will begin to see how everything comes together.
Pmchamp.com - Vinai's PMP online exam preparation course helped me to understand each process and get the concepts right. The review materials are very concise and complete. During the actual exam, several questions on Risk Probability Matrix were tricky, lots for questions on Org Structures, Project Charter, Scope and Closing. As for tools, Vinai's program is primary.
Headfirslab http://forums.oreilly.com/forum/73-head-first-pmp/ - who would not love this book, it makes studying enjoyable. Definitely a good starter guide to taking the PMP certification. Whether or not you are taking the exam, I feel this is a good guide on Project Management to start with if you are an aspiring PM
Once again, thank you pmzilla, pmchamp and headfirstlab for making my biggest dream come true. The PMP title means a lot to me and my family.
