PMP Exam Questions Distribution and Percentage (Score Ranges) equivalent of Descriptive Rating

Many have asked about the percentage distribution of PMP Exam questions. It can be recalled that after 2005 when PMI has published an article about the exam passing score, and thereafter there was no more publication about this, though it is still believed that the same percentage is implemented. That is out of 200 questions, 25 are pre-released questions, hence only 175 questions are to be scored, out of 175, an examinee must have answered correctly at least 106 or that is approximately 61% of the total scorable score (175).

Considering that PMI does not anymore publish numerical rating but only descriptive rating equivalent to range of scores garnered from the exam, the below tabulation shows the percentage distribution of questions and the score ranges corresponding the descriptive rating.

Hi projmanpro - Now we know for sure, its not 61% that you will need to pass PMP, if we go by PMI release notes (as they have removed this information). Do you know the exact passing percentage now by any chance or through any unofficial sources?

As per the information I hear from my circle its 65%, but I cannot officialy confirm and say the same. Even I an not that sure, but I keep saying my students the same.
