I have been a silent follower of PMZilla for a while, absorbing in all the information you guys have been sharing on this forum, for which I am ever grateful. I took and passed my PMP on the 2nd Dec-11 for first attempt and passed successfully.

 Study Plan

I started preparing for PMP exam sometime in June-11. I came across PMZilla forum while googling for information on PMP exams. Since them have been following regularly the content posted by many members. Learning lessons posted by members motivated to took PMP exam.  I have followed the study plan as below.

PM Book ----- (Read 3 time)

Rita Mulchay Sixth edition---Detail Study (Read 3 times)

Last 3 –days before exams I went only through Rajesh Nair notes only. These notes are amazing tool for last few days of revision.

Simulation Exams

I took simulation exam after every read and identified the areas where I need to concentrate more. Also a Simulation exam helps you to prepare mentally to last 4- hours of exam.  I took many simulation tests the details for few of them are as below.  For most of simulation exam I was scoring between 60% and 70%.  Although I had some fear before taking final exam, as posted my many members in there learning lessons you should get between (75% +) but, went ahead with the exams as per my earlier plan. Rita fast track sixth edition, oliver lehman , simplilearn  and PMZilla exam are pretty tough and prepares you well for actual exam.

PM Study - I scored a 64% on the exam (200 questions)

Fast track 6^th Edition - I scored a 65% to 70 % (200 questions and question taken by 9 knowledge area wise)

Heads First - I scored a 73% (200 questions)

Simplilearn - scored a 62% (200 questions, pretty hard)

Techfaq360.com - I scored a 63% (200 questions).

Leahman 175 - i got a 61%, and it was my final exam before the real exam.. I was not disappointed, i felt it was just information over load, i knew i was ready

 Final Exam Day

I have taken morning slot from (8:30AM to 12:30 AM). I went to the exam center at Andheri(East) , went through the check in routine. I started of steadily and tried to answer as many question correctly in first try and mark the question where I have doubt. I was able to finish around 50 questions in first hour and marked around 10 questions for review. I was able to finish all the questions by 3 hours 15 min or so.  Last 45 mins I reviewed the entire question I have marked for review approximately (30 – 40 questions).

Most of the question where situational only few question, hardly 5% on ITTO. Lot of questions from risk management chapter, 10% were numerical best on EVA and PTA and risk were simple and straight forward.  Lot of question around 30% questions were 4-5 liner.

My scores are as below

Initiating ---- Moderately Proficient

Planning ---- Proficient

Executing----- Moderately Proficient

Monitoring and Controlling ----- Moderately Proficient

Closing----- Proficient
