PMP

Hello Guys..

My name is Neha and I am preparing for PMP.

Planning to take the exam in March start.

I am studying for it from last 2 months.

And have read PMBOK once(Only read),Rita Mulchey once(Thorough),Head first PMP once(Thorough).

I work in and Engineering services (Design technical centre-4.5 years exp), where we hardly follow most of the process and it’s a functional organization. No much authority as a Program management person.

Now the scenario, had given the first test of pmstudy about 1 month before..when I was just geaing up for the exam and scored 57.3%:-(

And now I gave one more exam after a good practice and confidence that will score at least 70% but scored only 60.2%.I am horribly disappointed.

I am badly disappointed.

Can anyone suggest me a better way of studying?

Will be highly appreciated.

You just need more practice, keep trying and improving your scores. Dont take such things emotionally.

Thanks for the response..

Appreciated..

Take practice exam again.  See if you can figure out if there is a particular knowledge area in which you are weak.  Try studying in those weaker areas.  Work to understand why you missed the questions.    Then take practice exam again.  Do this unti your scores improve, you understand, and your confidence will be much improved.

Best of luck!

Thank you..

Will try reviewing some the mistakes..

Appreciated..

Hi,

I suggest to take Rita Mulcahy chapter end practice test 1st before going for online mock test. Atleast read two times Rita Mulcahy and then start your online mock test.

This is a good score for one read of both books. Keep preparing. dont bother about scores now. Long way to go!! All the best!!

Thanks..will do that..appreciated..

Hi Neha

do not judge your preparations just by looking at scores in mock exams.Scores in mock exams will vary based on their quality of questions and their source.

Reviewing the wrong answers is equally important as solving them.If you review the questions which you answered wrongly and understood what went wrong, you should study.practice more on respective areas and try to avoid same mistakes in next exams

When you study, pls make sure you are clear with all study areas /concepts as per PG and KAs. Books which you are referring are good for preparation

Once you are well prepared, you will feel comfortable in tackling any type of question in any sequence.

All the best !

Thank you so much..I am sure..will help..

Try this PMP Practice Exam - Score  75 + then you are closer. 85+ you are ready for the real PMP.

Good outline on how to study for the project management exam
