PMI membership & PMP exam fees

Hello,


I have submitted the PMP application and got the email for paying the application fees. I havent registered to PMI till now. Can I register now on PMI and in a day or two pay the fees for PMP exam to get the discounted exam fees? or Is there any time gap that we need to maintain between PMI membership registration & PMP exam fees payment to be eligible for getting PMP exam fees discount.

There is no time gap required. I think you can register for PMP and get PMI membership at same time

 Saw this and thought I'd share this article - it says that you can sign up for PMI membership as you apply and get the discount, the only thing is that you CAN't sign up for PMI after applying for PMP.
