PMI ACP Lessons learnt

I thought this will be helpful for people doing ACP certification.

Regardless of your experience, I recommend reading at least the following books out of 10 recommended by PMI to get familiar with the terminology:

      • - Agile Project Management with Scrum

      • - Agile Estimating and Planning

      • - Agile Project Management: Creating innovative products 2nd edition

      • - Lean – Agile Software Development

My questions were on following topics – this is what I remember:

      • - Agile manifesto; definitely, recommend you to memorize the exact wording

      • - Agile Estimating and PlanningAgile principles; what is in or out, comparing to Lean, XP or Scrum

      • - Scrum, Lean and XP methodologies

      • - Release / Sprint burn down charts; inputs & outputs

      • - User stories; cards, task boards, content

      • - Roles; Scrum master, XP Coach, team, etc.

      • - Pareto rule, Spike, planning poker

Not sure this is correct for all exam takers but me, I did not get any questions on:

  1. - EVM, NVP or any other calc

  2. - Other PMP knowledge areas

Congrats!

And this's surely a great move to initiate a separate forum topic dedicated to PMI-ACP.

On a related note, I've just started taking the first few baby steps towards obtaining the certification. In fact I've started reading Mike Griffith's book but I'm wondering whether this should be the ONLY text matter that I should be going through.

The other option, I suppose, is to concentrate on (atleast some of) the eleven books prescribed by the ACP steering committee.

Any ideas anyone on which path I should tread?
