Start early with simulated questions.

Hi, At present not many
Hi,
At present not many resources are available for PMBOK 5th edition guidance or supporting things such as mock tests. It will be available in a couple of months I suppose. The training providers such as PMstudy, Simplilearn, Global Knowledge, etc must be also working on their materials so that they can give their updated materials to the PMP aspirants and cannot be outdated by others. So you continue your good work by reading from PMBOK 5th edition and you will get the supporting materials easily available in the market, in a while.
All the best!!!

PMBOK 5 ITTO's and other tips
I am on chapter 6 in reading PMBOK 5. Planning to give the exam and September 2013. Does any one have any tips or ITTO's etc that I could use?
Also I have Rita and Phliips which are based on PMbok 4. I know some processes/knowledge areas are added and changed but would it be advisable to pratice questions which are at the back of every chapter or should I wait until July when more books come out...
Any advice or document, notes is appreciated...

Do you knowthere is errata
Do you know
there is errata sheet issued by PMI for PMBOK 5.
http://www.pmi.org/en/PMBOK-Guide-and-Standards/Standards-PMBOK-Guide-Errata-Sheets.aspx
if your print is of dated 1Jan2013, version 10987654321 , please keep errata or may download updated pdf login to pmi download provided you are paid PMI Member.
# in above thread it is specified that if you have version 1098765432, it is updated with above erratas (no seperate sheet is necessary)
but I saw new pdf download -- has been corrected but version mentioned same as old. (10987654321)
Apart from this errata sheet/ or updated print - Mistakes are still there.
I have listed out them here:
Typographical / Technical Error
1.
Page 53 fig 3-3, ----- In between, Enterprise/organization and Customer , -- Teaming agreements is written, ---- this term is now not relevant with the main content of Knowledge Area (section 12), or in other words it is wrongly written here. It should be removed from here or any suitable change is required.
2.
Page 53 fig 3-3 – like that stake holder management strategy is also non-relevant.
Like that P421 fig A1-2 is a repetition. These flow diagrams are not revised wrt to changes in pmbok5.
All technical:
1.
Figure 3-5 P59 and Figure X1-1 P 467 are showing little contradictory information - project communication versus manage communication and manage project team.
Regarding work performance reports both figures are not synchronized with 47 processes’ flow diagrams or its input /outputs. These are showing work performance reports are input to develop project management plan or project management plan, while in 47 processes directly or indirectly work performance reports are not the input for project management plan.
Every where OPA is input to planning group processes, but this OPA neither having WPR or PD-updates.
2.
In fig 6-10, P 158, Notation shown SS – 15 days (Lag), is wrong and contradictory with fig 6-11 P160 and also 1st paragraph of P159. It should be SS +15 days (Lag) in place of SS – 15 days (Lag)

I'm not trying to tell you
I'm not trying to tell you to do stuff, but, if you can, please also inform Kristin Vitello: Kristin.Vitello @ pmi . org
If possible, an attached screenshot in your email with the error circled in red or highlighted will help a lot...
Kristin is the one who submits the necessary change requests internally.
Regards.

Yes this address is the same
Yes this address is the same as suggested by customercares, and she has been already informed, as a fourth one as addressed in my earlier reply ( by mistake it is mentioned only - vittal. @pmi.org--- it is in fact Kristin.Vitello@pmi.org.
I hope page / figure number references are more than sufficient for them.

Thank you sspawar
Thank you for this information. I didnt know about Errata and have the version which needs one. Although, I am printing one chapter at a time and reading them. I wonder if the PDF version would be corrected as I print them.
Anyways I will double check and replace them with the corrected ones. Please let me know if there are any other updates by PMI.org
I am studying from PMBok 5 and hopeful there will be a lot of resources and tricks available after July 31st.
If anyone needs a study partner and is studying for the exam from PMBOK 5, please contact me on siki20@hotmail.com
Any other advice would be helpful.

Choices and way of learning
Choices and way of learning vary from person to person.
It is quite obvious that no one can memorize all ITTOS.
But it is partly always preferred by many students.
-----------------
In excel sheet - only TTs are prepared with some short forms or popularly known as mnemonics.
When someone tries intensively to remember any part - he approach to short cut - mnemonics.
Second thing when you put your curser in individual cell , it will give a full form of that letter/letters.
It all can be understood at advance stage of learning/ study.
But it does not mean it is equally applicable to all.
You may develop your own mnemonics.
Or you do not require these all.
-------------
Word format - is simple itto list- you can roll down it in any pocket size tab, on your palm, while you are in mobile mode.

In India, Formal Training is
In India, Formal Training is already started using 5th Edition by one well known institute in Mumbai and I think every where, 5th edition is initiated as minimum 2-3 months of study is required to appear for PMP.
Therefore, it is ideal to go for 5th now and especailly those who have just aimed to obtain pMP credential
