PMBOK fourth edition will be releasing on 30th June 2009. According to PMI, there will not be any major changes to questions.

If you plan to sit for a PMI certification exam prior to these dates, then the PMBOK® Guide – Third Edition is appropriate for your study, after the date you will have to use 4th Edition.

Every 4 years PMI comes up with new version of PMBOK , so this is a regular update. You still have lot of time left to study and prepare for the exam. In fact its good that now you have an externally imposed deadline ( if you were not able to put one )
